Membership in the SDAA
How to become part of the legacy.
The SDAA has nearly 600 members with varied astronomy backgrounds. Some new members are experienced amateur astronomers ready to set up their scopes at Tierra del Sol, while others are just starting. All members receive an informative monthly newsletter. As an added benefit, subscription to Sky & Telescope, Astronomy, and Odyssey magazines are available to members at substantial discounts.

The Club has resources for new members wishing to learn the night sky. Loaner telescopes are available for members without a scope. Several reflectors and refractors are stored at the Tierra del Sol club observatory. The Library is stocked with a great assortment of books and tools for the amateur astronomer, which can be borrowed at any time.
Becoming a member of the SDAA is easy. Just fill out the application form on our website, and remit your first year's dues via PayPal. Alternatively, you can download a PDF version of the form from the link near the bottom of this page, print it, fill it out, and mail it to the Treasurer with your dues. We recommend PayPal, since it's so easy and so quick. We get notice of your payment immediately, and you can begin experiencing the benefits of membership within a day or so. If you are currently an SDAA member, and your annual expiration date is approaching, you can renew your membership here, as well. Just click the Renew button below.
